At Bramming Plast-Industri A/S, we have a clear and ambitious sustainability strategy, whereby we want to change the way we work in terms of the production and recycling of polyurethane
An important part of our strategy
We are dedicated in our work with the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, and we are focusing in particular on offering our customers circular solutions, being an attractive employer and an ethical partner. We want to lead the way towards a circular economy
Our vision is to create sustainable solutions for our customers through industrial and scalable processes. Through cooperation with local and global partners, it is our ambition to lead the way towards a circular economy. Our four environmental goals are:
- We want to increase our share of sustainable PU materials, which amounts to 50% by 2026
- We want to increase our mechanical recycling with 1,000 tonnes of post-consumer PU waste per year by 2026, and create a circular economy
- We want to reduce our total emissions (tCO2e) by 42% by 2030
- We want to eliminate non-recyclable waste from our own production by 2026

Our near-term target has been approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi), including Business Ambition for 1.5°C.

Part of the solution
Bramming Plast-Industri A/S is in the process of phasing out the use of fossil fuels and creating circularity. Read more about two of our main initiatives here.
Biomass Balance
At Bramming Plast-Industri A/S, our efforts are targeted at reducing CO2 emissions and eliminating the use of fossil fuels.
We want to use the Biomass Balance approach to launch a new and revolutionary product portfolio made from 100% organic waste as feedstock.
Mechanical recycling
We want to help solve problems involving discarded end-of-life polyurethane products by transforming them into new foam types. At Bramming Plast-Industri A/S, we want to expand our production of recycled foam types, focusing on the products which the end-users have discarded. We have now launched our first product, which is based 100% on discarded mattresses.
